How learning to Embrace change improved my
work as a UX UI designer?

what I learned about change and how it shapes my design mindset

Books I read: "Who moved my cheese?" and UX UI design

When I read "Who moved my cheese?" by The story Spencer Johnson , I did not expect to find so many simple and powerful lessons about dealing with change. I realized how this reflects design process itself like constant adaptation, learning and moving forward.

Summary of the Book

The story in simple words and how it is reflected to UX UI Design where it revolves around small characters who live inside a maze, two mice and two little people the size of mice. they spend their days searching for cheese which represents goals, success and happiness.
but one day, all these cheese suddenly disappeared and each character reacts differently:
the mice quickly accept the change and begin to search on another places that have cheese. while th two little characters were afraid and resists change until one of them avercomes his fear and moves on to explore new paths while the other stick to the past and did not change.

Reflections from Who Moved My Cheese?

This book made me reflect on my own creative UX UI journey
In design wspecially UX UI, things change constantly like project goals, user needs and technology updates and this is similar to the characters in the story where some resist and do not accept change while others explore and chase new chances with courage.
And I realized being a UX UI Designer or Graphic designer means being like the two mice in the story, curious enough to notic change early and be aware to adapt fast.
Every project I have worked on I redesigned features after user feedback, chang visuals to adapt to new directions, or learning new things.
One quote from this book that stayed with me " the quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you find new cheese".
